TOURBILLION New Song and Anniversary Album with Tour

TOURBILLON TO CELEBRATE 10TH ANNIVERSARY WITH A NEW SONG, ANNIVERSARY ALBUM AND TOUR

Tourbillon -Ryuichi Kawamura, Inoran and Hiroaki Hayama -will release an album and commence a tour on its 10th anniversary.  

If you were at the Shibuya Public Hall on October 2, 2014, you would have witnessed a little treat during the first night of Ryuichi Kawamura's 2014 Live two night event. During "Concept RRR ~never fear~,", he called on his special guest for the night - guitarist and LUNA SEA colleague Inoran. Together, the singer and the guitarist performed "Sunset," the song they also performed during Ryuichi's "70 Stories" concert.

After the main set had ended and the musicians returned to the stage for the Encore, special guest Inoran returned with them and, with Hiroaki Hayama on piano/keyboards/synthesizer, every one started the Encore with one of Tourbillon's songs, "Heaven," Hayama's fusion orientation evident in his playing. From there, it was like a mini reunion as the group went on to perform "Your Place," clearly a crowd favorite, sending the audience on its feet as it moved to the beat of the lively song while Inoran went into a series of modified Suzy Q's on occasion along with Ryuichi's modified Marilyn steps.   

This year, Tourbillon is back, celebrating the 10th year since its formation in 2005. In commemoration of its 10th year, the group will be releasing its 10th anniversary album, "The Decade - 10th Anniversary Best", on November 25, 2015. Since its formation in 2005 up to 2008, the group has released a total of five singles and two albums.   


In addition to the 10th Anniversary album release, Tourbillon will also commence its 10th Anniversary tour, starting on November 27, 2015 at the Tokyo International Forum Hall A and ending on December 27, 2015 at Zepp Tokyo, a few days after LUNA SEA's SLAVE gig on December 23 and 24, 2015. November 27, 2015 occurs on the Thanksgiving weekend, which makes this concert a pleasant alternative to the Black Friday lines, so if you can make the trip, you'll be on your way to a special reunion, hearing not only the songs performed by the group during its three-year term, but also a new song, since it was announced as the group goes into its 10th anniversary.


And who knows, perhaps support musicians like Masami Tsuchiya (guitar), Yukarie (saxophone) and Tokie (bass) might return as well?
