BTS, also known as Bangtan Boys, Bulletproof Boy Scouts or Beyond The Scene, is a seven-member South Korean boy band formed by Big Hit Entertainment. Their name in Korean - Bangtan Sonyeondan (Hangul: 방탄소년단; Hanja: 防彈少年團), and Japanese - Bōdan Shōnendan (防弾少年団), both translate to "Bulletproof Boy Scouts" has taken the world by storm.
Recently winning the "Top Social Artist" award in May 2017 at the Billboard music awards in Las Vegas due to their loyal fanatical fans activity on every social media platform on the internet, have been compared the world famous 1960's pop idol group The Beatles and the effect known as "Beatlemania".
What made history is not only the fan voted award receiving over 300 million votes via Twitter and Billboards own website but the reaction at the award ceremony outside and inside the building which were thousands of BTS fans screaming, singing and chanting BTS songs which were so loud they over took the award ceremony. It could have just been named the BTS Awards. They beat out Justin Beiber who has been on the pop scene for many years and knocked him off his 6 year running crown, Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendez and Selena Gomez to name a few other contenders and were the first K-Pop group to win any award at this event.

ARMY is military in English, the body armor and military are always together, so it means that the fans will always be together with the Bangtan Boys.
The Billboard Music Awards curators, ticket holders, photographers, reporters ,venue staff and other artists were all in the same mindset, who is BTS and where did all these fans come from? Well, they got a big dose of the "A.R.M.Y. Effect" which is BTS's fans name. BTS and A.R.M.Y. are one; like the entire fan base are the 8th member of BTS and leaders of free marketing for the group. They do everything together and are a strong power united in the K-Pop (Korean Pop Music) and world music industry.

BTS fans are coming out of every nook and cranny on this planet and taking the world by surprise who have never heard of them. BTS was found and fostered through the internet and in 4 short years have gathered millions upon millions of fans. BTS and A.R.M.Y. were born on the world wide web and live there virtually running 24 hours a day everyday. You cannot search anywhere on the web and not bump in to something about BTS.
